a while back i bought a WeMo Switch. The initial purpose was to replace a wireless light switch in my house and have the light controlled through the WeMo instead through an iPhone app or a schedule. mardi gras and therefore lent crept up on me this year. i've been so damned busy so far in 2013 and will be up until roughly the end of april, and it's resulted in me being a bit more scatterbrained than normal i think, which is partially why i hadn't even started to think about what i was going to do for lent this year.

so i'm doing music/sound design for a game that my brother is developing, currently in beta. one of the "to do" items is "victory" music/sound, basically a "you finished the level!" audio.

the wind ensemble piece is about 95% complete. I need to finish the percussion parts, make some notational edits for the score, finish dressing all of the parts, and it's good. I'm betting it'll take about four hours of work tonight, and then i can actually plan for the holiday trip that's happening in, oh, under a week.

while i was walking from my car to the tulane orchestra concert tonight, i came up with an idea for a short large ensemble piece titled Lift. If i can get my act together i may try to write it for Tulane's concert band next spring. the ideas running in my head remind me of the first movement of John Adams's Violin Concerto, but not exactly. • deposited my poker profit from the weekend into my checking account
• paid all of my bills
• uploaded the final video of my drumming with isaac series
• had a much needed doctor's appointment
• ordered a bunch of percussion stuff for Tulane
